"My teaching at California State University, Fullerton, California since 1968, not only required but also permitted me to participate in the watercolor world: one man shows, group shows, regional exhibitions, and International exhibitions. Now the title of Professor of Art Emeritus at this university supports my present exploration using synthetic paper and traditional watercolor media to a new creative experience. Discovering that this area of research had not been explored was the motivation I needed. As a result, this new and unique approach to the watercolor process has generated my most recent paintings to be recognized in major exhibitions and periodicals."

George James has had extensive exhibitions, honors, and awards throughout his career.  His work is highly desirable and collected widely by George James enthusiasts.
